GFBPA

Grassfield Band Parents Association

The Grassfield Band Parent Association (GFBPA), is the booster organization for the Grassfield High School Band Program. The GFBPA’s membership is comprised of all parents of current band and guard students.  The GFBPA meets monthly to discuss upcoming events, fundraisers, and to collaborate on the best ways to help support and promote the Band Program.

The GFBPA serves every aspect of the band program, including the three curricular bands (Ninth Grade Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band), the extra-curricular bands (Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band), and the Winter Ensembles (Winter Guard and Winter Percussion).  Along with our sales-based fundraisers (fruit, candles, etc), we frequently host events such as the Pancake Breakfast/Indoor Yard Sale in July, the Marching Classic in October, the Craft Show in February, an indoor guard competition also in February, the Car Show in April, and a Bingo Night in May.

We need all parents to volunteer their time, efforts, and talents to help support our students!  You would be surprised at the skills that are called for during the course of a school year. If you have any experience with carpentry, sewing, alterations, sales, welding, advertising, marketing, costumes, web design, landscaping, painting, moving, logistics, and anything you think of, please let us know!  Even if you learn a new skill or join or chair a committee, we will be happy to put you with a parent who can guide you through the task at hand.  This is a fantastic organization made up of amazing individuals, and it takes all of us to help the band realize its goals!  Please log into Charms and click on the calendar to volunteer, or email theGFBPA@gmail.com
